Apply glue to the dadoes of each pair of D pieces and compress and fit the pieces together to create a cross. Make sure the flats of the sharply mitered ends are aligned. Clamp each of the 11 pairs and let the glue dry. 5. Cut the solid-wood pieces. Use the miter saw and a stop block to cut 12 B pieces at 46" from six of the 1 x 2s.
